disabled learners.

All of our eLearning solutions support full compliance with EITAS Section 508. If you are unfamiliar with this set of Federal regulations, Section 508 is intended to do for cyberspace what the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) did for the physical world: remove barriers to access for individuals with disabilities.

SIGHT: for learners who are blind, our eLearning products include content-complete audio narration. Interactive elements - including navigation controls, menus, and quizzes - are appropriately tagged for and are made accessible to third-party screen-reader applications such as “Jaws.” For learners with limited vision or degenerative impairments, we provide an on-screen focus indicator and support screen magnifier utilities. In consideration of those with color-blindness, visual communications never depend solely on color to communicate information.

SOUND: to meet the needs of deaf learners, we provide closed captioning for all voice narration. Video elements, if any, are closed captioned or offer a downloadable transcript in PDF format.

MOBILITY: we recognize that some learners may be unable to use a standard mouse, either due to loss of limb, paralysis, or loss of fine motor control. For these mobility-impaired learners, our eLearning products offer keyboard equivalents (“shortcuts”) for course navigation. Interactive elements - including navigation controls, menus, and quizzes – can all be accessed using only the TAB and ENTER keys. USB-based alternative pointing devices are also supported.
