POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a top notch “hands-on” Network Consulting Engineer to service our Middle Tennessee clients. In this role, you will have direct contact with our clients providing technical services, consulting and strategizing with them to achieve their goals while producing a legitimate return on investment. You must demonstrate strong experience working in professional service environments with significant customer focus. You must be comfortable working on independent projects, work well on a team, be focused on quality and efficiency and be a self-starter. Must also be able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously and respond effectively to a wide range of business technology needs. You must be a good communicator and enjoy interacting and helping people.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• End user support, planning, analysis, design, auditing and system monitoring
• Support for servers, desktops and custom applications
• Install, configure, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot all network components
• Prospect/client needs analysis along with presenting solution recommendations and estimates 
• Diligent at tracking and keeping accurate records
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task 
• Ability to travel throughout Middle Tennessee
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university • Prefer Microsoft certification: MCSE on Windows 2000 and/or Windows 2003
• 4+ years of technical knowledge and experience in information systems (network design, administration, and optimization)
• Experience architecting and implementing messaging solutions using Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003
• Clear understanding and experience troubleshooting (firewall, VPN, IDS) applications in a networking environment – Watchguard certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of remote access technologies such as IPSEC, SSL-VPN and SSH
• Experience with Wireless management and technologies
• Proficient expert level TCP/IP knowledge a must 
• History using well-known monitoring and analysis tools
• Demonstrated ability of strategic thinking
• Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineers in technology and processes
• The ability to provide detailed documentation is a must. Use of Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project
• Reliable transportation to and from client sites
